Whatever it is, wherever it is,
AMU K9 Peer Support Services is here.
FOR YOU.
At AMU K9, we understand that the weight of high-impact calls can take a toll. Our peer support and community outreach programs are specifically designed for public service members seeking connection and crisis intervention. We believe in the power of shared experience, and our programs facilitate crucial peer connections to support mental health and build resilience. Through community involvement and a network of understanding colleagues, we provide a safe space for first responders to process difficult experiences and reinforce their strength.
The Peer Support Team at AMU K9 is fully committed to providing a compassionate ear and unwavering support during challenging times. However, please remember:
We are not a replacement for emergency services.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a crisis, we urge you to contact 911 or 988 without delay. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities.
Together, We will rewrite your story.
As the Peer Support and Community Outreach Coordinator for AMU K9 Training, Mark Stanish draws on his background in law enforcement, crisis response, and wellness coaching to support those working in high-stress, trauma-exposed environments. Mark and K9 Jager are dedicated to promoting resilience and mental wellness among our first responders, K9 handlers, veterinarians, and support staff. His mission is to bridge the gap between trauma medicine and mental health—helping our people stay strong, grounded, and ready for whatever the job demands.
Ron Hill brings more than 30 years of experience in emergency services and over 16 years in tactical medicine to his work supporting those who operate in high-intensity, trauma-exposed environments. Having spent much of his career on the front lines, he understands the pressures, demands, and emotional toll that come with serving in these critical roles.
As a Mental Health Resilience Officer, he's dedicated to helping first responders, tactical teams, veterinarians, and support staff strengthen their resilience, maintain mental wellness, and perform at their best when it matters most. His mission is to help bridge the gap between trauma medicine and mental health—equipping those who serve with the tools and support they need to stay strong, grounded, and ready for the challenges of the job.
Ron is driven by a simple belief: the people who dedicate their lives to protecting and caring for others deserve the same level of care, understanding, and commitment in return.
